Palomino Lounge

I recently had the opportunity to create the brand identity for Palomino Lounge, a Nashville-inspired booze DEN IN NEWTOWN.

From the team behind Fortunate Son, this new 60-seater bar is all about cocktails, old-fashioned service and a ripping vibe. With a Southern-inspired soundtrack of twang, hard rock, and blues, Palomino Lounge offers a unique escape right next door to Enmore Theatre — perfect for a pre- or post-gig drink.

For the branding, I leaned into owner Dylan Howarth’s life-long passion for horses with a logo design reminiscent of classic retro music labels, giving the identity a warm, nostalgic feel. The branding extended through the exterior signage, coasters, website, uniforms and marketing collateral. We kept the brand quite minimal within the space so as not to disrupt the authentic vibe. The exterior signage included a nod to the Art Deco aesthetic of next door’s Enmore Theatre, details that reflect both the unique energy of Palomino Lounge and the timeless spirit of Sydney’s Enmore Road.
